PALIA GUIDE

Palia is a life simulation multiplayer online game develeped and published by Singularity 6. Currently game is in open beta which was launched in late 2023 on WIndows and Nintendo Switch.
Players strive to join the Kilima Village by collecting and crafting materials. Player skills include fishing, foraging, hunting, mining, insect catching, cooking, furniture making, and gardening. Kilima serves as the central location, while Bahari Bay offers more advanced resources and server-wide events that are scheduled around the day/night cycle.
Story
In Palia, humans are the mythic race who vanished many centuries ago in their prime when they were at the peak of their power and control of magic. No one in contemporary times understands the reason behind it.
One day, humans start to emerge globally. As one of the recently re-emerged individuals, players must create a new living space in this welcoming environment, and establish a path for themselves and humanity.
Skills
Bug Catching
The person who serves as the representative of the Bug catching Guild in Kilima Valley is Auni. Players can discover bugs in various Biomes, either hidden in Trees, under rocks, or among Gatherables.
To catch bugs, you need a belt and smoke bombs. Starred bugs can be placed as decoratives by holding the starred bug in your hand and left click on windows and ZR on nintendo.
There are Plush versions of some bugs, that are suitable for placing on a Housing Plot, can also be sometimes obtained from that particular insect:

Cooking
The person who serves as the representative of the Cooking Guild in Kilima Valley is Reth. The Campfire Campfire is first obtained by the Player during the Cooking 101 quest, where they are taught the basics of cooking.. Afterwards, players can buy recipes from Reth to create more cooking tools and cooking recipes.

Fishing
The person who serves as the representative of the Fishing Guild in Kilima Valley is Einar. To fish, you need to use a fishing rod. Throw a fishing line into specific bodies of water and be patient for a fish to take the bait! Once a fish takes the bait, it can be brought in closer to the shore.
Various kinds of bait appeal to various types of fish; Players can switch the bait they are using by holding down the rod and right-clicking on windows and pressing X on Switch.
Fishing Hotspots can be tracked with a Tuning Fork.
Foraging
The person who serves as the representative of the Foraging Guild in Kilima Valley is Ashura.
In the beginning of the game, Ashura gives the player a Makeshift Axe in the introductory quest ‘Welcome to Palia’.
As the Player levels up their Foraging Skill, they can buy recipes from Ashura to craft improved axes and process wood.
Furniture Making
The person who serves as the representative of the Furniture Making Guild in Kilima Valley is Tish. Once the Player acquires furniture recipes, they are able to create pieces using a Worktable located on the housing plot.
Pressing the F key on a Windows computer or the A key on a Nintendo Switch while at a Worktable will bring up the crafting interface, where players can conveniently choose, examine, and craft furniture items
Garderning
The person who serves as the representative of the Garderning in Kilima Valley is Badruu. Gardening enables players to cultivate their own produce. Gardening involves cultivating and gathering crops for selling, cooking, gifting, or seed production.
In the Gardening 101 quest, players are given two Soil, a Makeshift Hoe, and a Makeshift Watering Can. Also different types of sedds have different properties and stated below:
- Tomato : Water Retain
- Potato : Water Retain
- Napa Cabbage : Water Retain
- Carrot : Weed Prevention
- Onion : Weed Prevention
- Bok Choy : Weed Prevention
- Cotton : Quality Boost
- Wheat : Harvest Boost
- Rice : Harvest Boost
- Apple : Growth Boost
- Blueberries : Growth Boost
- Corn : Harvest Boost
- Spicy Pepper : Quality Boost
Hunting
The person who serves as the representative of the Garderning in Kilima Valley is Hassian.The activity of hunting involves the use of a bow and arrows.
Players can change the type of arrow they are using by holding the bow and right-clicking on windows, or pressing X on Switch.
The damage caused by arrows varies based on the materials they are made of.
Mining
The person who serves as the representative of the Garderning in Kilima Valley is Hodari. Mining in Palia is an ability that enables players to collect minerals for refining, crafting, or selling for profit.
When visiting the Housing Plot for the first time, the player is given Makeshift Pick, by Hodari. As Mining skill level increases, the Player can buy better pickaxe and smelting recipes from Hodari for crafting higher value bars.
